How to Install the Ram LED Emblem: Mounting on the Black Emblem Backing Plate
We received several questions today about where to install the RAM LED Emblem, so we made a video to show the installation process.
The stock RAM letters are fixed on the black emblem backing plate. When you install your RAM LED Emblem, you must remove your stock RAM letters. After removing them, you can install the RAM LED Emblem by mounting it on the black emblem backing plate.
We suggest that customers remove the grille because this makes it easier to access the screws behind it. If you cannot remove the grille, it may still be possible to fix the screws, but this is not a requirement. It ultimately depends on whether you can access the screws or not.

Effective November 27, 2025, we are excited to announce the upgrade of our RGB Ram LED Emblems to the new 2nd Generation Multi-Color RGB style!
This article explains the key difference between the two generations and how to utilize the new features via the control app.
Difference: 1st Gen RGB vs. 2nd Gen Multi-Color RGB
Both the 1st and 2nd Generation emblems offer true RGB Style functionality, meaning you have access to virtually any LED color:
Single Color Setting: Want a Red light or a White light? You can easily select any specific color you desire. Once set, the emblem will maintain that single color choice every time you turn the lights on, until you manually change it again.
The Biggest Upgrade: Multi-Color Functionality
The main difference lies in the Multi-Color option, which is exclusive to the 2nd Generation:
1st Generation Limitation: Previously, you could only choose and display one single color at a time (e.g., solid Red OR solid Blue).
2nd Generation Advantage: The new 2nd Generation introduces a Multi-Color option. This allows the emblem to display multiple colors simultaneously or run through dynamic color-changing patterns and sequences.
Check the attached photo to see the vibrant difference the new Multi-Color feature brings to your emblem!
📱 App Control and Setup: Using ZENGGE
The 2nd Generation emblem uses a dedicated application for control.
App Download
The control app, named ZENGGE, is available for both iOS and Android platforms and can be downloaded directly from your respective app store.
First-Time Connection (Crucial Step)
To ensure a successful connection between your phone and the LED emblem:
Power On: Confirm your new LED emblem is installed and receiving power (i.e., the lights are turned on).
Enable Bluetooth: You must have your phone's Bluetooth turned ON before opening the app. If Bluetooth is disabled, the app cannot detect or connect to the LED emblem.
Once connected, you will be able to customize your settings immediately. Please refer to the attached photo for a guide on the initial setup screen within the ZENGGE app.
After configuring the Number of Points and LED Chip Quality, you must save your settings.
For iPhone (iOS): Tap the 'Save' button located in the top-right corner before pressing the back button.
For Android: Tap the 'Save' button located in the bottom-right corner.
Please note that the save button location varies depending on your phone's operating system.
Once you have saved your settings, return to the main menu and tap the red circle to access the LED Emblem configuration page.
Single-tap the red ribbon to access the Control Center.
Long-press the red ribbon and select the first option to adjust the light strip parameters.

⚙️ Understanding the ZENGGE App Control Modes
The ZENGGE app offers six main modes for full customization of your 2nd Generation Multi-Color RGB Ram LED Emblem:
1. Static Mode
This section allows you to choose your primary color display:
First Palette: Select from a range of stable, solid LED colors (e.g., solid red, solid white, etc.). Once selected, this color will not change unless you manually adjust it.
Rest of the Palettes: These offer dynamic styles (e.g., simple fades or shifts) that you can select and also customize the specific LED colors used within that style.
2. Preset Modes (Built-in Modes)
This mode offers a library of various pre-designed animation sequences and effects. Simply select from the extensive list of built-in modes to immediately activate a dynamic pattern.
3. Custom Mode
This feature gives you advanced control to design your own lighting effects:
Custom Animations: You can choose the animation sequence you want.
Stable Color Combination: You can set a specific animation and choose a solid LED color to display.
Important Note: Even when combined with a stable color, the custom sequence cannot stay on permanently. It will cycle through the animation and then display the chosen LED color before repeating the cycle after a few minutes.
4. Music Sync Mode
This mode enables dynamic lighting effects that are synchronized to audio, often displayed in patterns resembling a Sound Column (or visual equalizer).
The feature offers two primary ways to utilize music synchronization:
Built-in Music Dynamic Effects: The LED emblem will sync its colors and animation patterns to music or ambient sounds. The resulting animation visually resembles a dynamic Sound Column.
Custom Recording: You can record a short piece of music directly within the app. You can then set and save the specific color patterns for this recorded segment, creating a customized, repeatable animation sequence that mimics the recorded track.
5. Multi-Color
This mode highlights the main feature of the 2nd Generation emblem:
Here you can access the full range of Multi-Color RGB options. This includes both dynamic Multi-Color styles (where colors change sequentially) and one stable Multi-Color blend that displays multiple hues simultaneously.
6. Color Picker
This convenient tool allows you to "scan" or sample a color using your phone's camera. You can point the camera at any object or color you like, and the app will instantly match and set the emblem's LED color to that sampled hue.
