3-Wire LED Emblem Connection Tutorial

3-Wire LED Emblem Connection Tutorial

This LED emblem has three wires for flexible lighting control: Black (Negative), Red (for White Light), and Yellow (for Red Light).

By choosing where you connect the Red and Yellow wires, you can achieve different lighting effects based on your preference.

General Wiring Logic:

  • Connecting the Red wire powers the White Light.
  • Connecting the Yellow wire powers the Red Light.
  • The Black wire always connects to the Negative terminal (Ground).

Installation Scenarios:

Scenario Goal Red Wire Connects To Yellow Wire Connects To Effect
Front Emblem White Light Only Daytime Running Light (+) Left Disconnected Solid White Light
Rear Emblem (Dual Function) White Light & Brake Light Tail Light (+) Brake Light (+) White light while driving, turns Red when braking.
Rear Emblem (Red Only) Solid Red Light Only Left Disconnected Tail Light (+) Solid Red Light when tail lights are on.

This emblem uses three wires: Black (Negative), Red (White Light), and Yellow (Red Light).

For the Front Emblem (White Only): Connect the Red wire to your Daytime Running Light (DRL) positive, and leave the Yellow wire disconnected.

For the Rear Emblem (Dual Color): Connect the Red wire to your Tail Light positive and the Yellow wire to your Brake Light positive. This provides White Light while driving and Red Light when braking.

For the Rear Emblem (Red Only): Connect the Yellow wire to your Tail Light positive, and leave the Red wire disconnected for a constant Red light.
