The operation of the red wire depends on how you connect it. If you connect it to the daytime running wire, the light will illuminate when you start your car.

Alternatively, if you connect it to the headlight positive terminal, it will illuminate when you turn on the headlights.


Which connection method do you recommend?

It's ultimately up to you; however, most of our customers choose to connect it to the daytime running wire.

  • Flat Surface Required: Before purchasing, please verify that your grille’s emblem mounting plate is completely flat (not curved). This emblem requires a flat surface to adhere properly and will not fit curved grilles.
  • Radar / ACC Warning: If your vehicle has a front radar or Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) sensor installed directly behind the front emblem, the 2nd Generation emblem will NOT fit. Please select our 3rd Generation LED Emblem instead for radar compatibility.

Why does the illuminated car emblem appear slightly blue?

It's because the color temperature of the illuminated emblem is different from the daytime running lights of the car. It may appear slightly blue during the day, but it's actually white.

Generally, lower color temperature white light appears more yellow, while higher color temperature white light appears more blue.
